Each musical instrument is unique and characteristic of the tone it can create. However, not every wood can be used in the production of musical instruments. Resonant wood is a material that, with the help of other parts of a musical instrument, can emit enough intense sound energy into the environment without distortion of the tone. The quality of resonant wood can also vary depending on what type of musical instrument is used. The high quality of resonant wood and other wood for the production of stringed musical instruments helps create the highest quality musical instruments. The aim of work and material engineering is to determine the extent to which the wood properties of the resonant plate change, due to the use of the overlapping of the cuts to length by means of a joint "cink", when it is also an attempt to use less dimensional precious pieces of wood for the given purpose. The thesis is also enriched by collecting the results of the questionnaire response from the evaluation data of the selection criteria for resonant wood and wood for the production of musical instruments by the producers of musical instruments themselves.
