The main aim of diploma thesis was to design a wooden construction system of the bearing structure of the production hall. The diploma thesis marginally deals with the historical development of wooden building materials and the development of wooden structures. In the first part of the thesis we performed a simple analysis focused on the dividing of wooden construction system for hall buildings. We also dealt with description of individual components of these systems. We have briefly described the advantages and disadvantages of wooden constructions and their realized constructions. By designing a wooden planar system, we have tried to point out the efficient use of mechanical properties of wood, the impossibility of assembly, the stiffness and stability of the wooden construction system. At the end of the diploma thesis, we evaluated the designed building system of the hall building in terms of functionality, maximum use of interior space, safety and durability.
