The aim of this thesis is to design an additional device for skidding logs behind an Utility Terrain Vehicle - UTV. In the first part there are described contemporary mechanized and unmechanized ways of log skidding. In the second part, All Terrain Vehicles are described - ATVs and Utility Terrain Vehicles - UTVs, the adaptation of this mechanization for its use in the forest economy, contemporary overview and constructional design of an additional device for skidding logs. Contents of this thesis include proposal of the dimensions of the construction, tires, the material of the construction and selection of the most suitable variant of lifting of the tree trunk. In the concluding part of the thesis there is a calculation of forces influencing the draught rope and drawn tree trunk under four different conditions. In the conclusion there is a stress and deformation analysis under impact of a maximum force N=7564 [N], obtained from the calculations. From the analysis it follows that the designed construction meets the requirements.
