The diploma thesis deals with design of location and application of the forces and means of fire brigades for the selectected intervention area of the fire station of Fire and Rescue System in Slovakia. In the first part of the diploma thesis is the current satate of the solution of the organization of fire units in Slovak republic, Czech republic and the Republic of Poland and area coverage of the forces and means in Slovakia. The aim of the thesis was to rewiew the intervention area of the Fire Department Revúca with focusing on voluntary fire brigades of the villages and towns, as wel as the design of location and application of the forces and means of fire brigades for the selected intervention area of Fire station Revúca.
