The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the quality of drinking water from selected sources of individual supply (reservoirs) in the Detva district (specifically Skliarovo and Stavanisko). The theoretical part contains a basic description of principles and notions from the area of water collection and treatment, focusing on small drinking water plants and its health securing. The methodological part contains information on the site, laboratory measurements and sampling. In the practical part the analysis of samples from individual samples was performed. Altogether, 22 sampling point were rated at work, of which only 8 sampling points showed compliance with water quality requirements, which accounted for only 36 %. The most frequent exceeded limit values were pH (6 sampling points), ammonium ions (6 sampling points) and chemical oxygen consumption (8 sampling points). In the end, the results of the analyzes were evaluated, followed by the design of a suitable method of treatment of drinking water in given localities.
