This work deals with the process of freezing and defrosting of wood in the wood-processing industry. The bachelor thesis is systematically divided into five parts. The second chapter describes the process of freezing wood due to low temperatures. Further, the second chapter characterizes the negative influence of the freezing process as the formation of freezing cracks. In the third chapter we defined the process of defrosting and heating the wood and divided the defrost into full and incomplete chapters and determined the determination of time. The fourth chapter characterizes the defrosting of wood in woodworking. We concentrated mainly on the processing of wood and the manufacture of pre-fabricated materials. In the fifth chapter, we dealt with the wood defrosting process in part of the winter heating season where wood drying and defrost drying is adjusted in the process of color equalization where the process is prolonged.
