The subject of the bachelor thesis is invasive woody plants, their potential for spreading to the surrounding country, their quantity and the overall condition and distribution within our area of interest, which was the settlement of Fončorda in Banská Bystrica. The aim of the thesis was to inventory of invasive species or non-native species that are growing exponentially, to acquaint them with them, to obtain information on their location and number by field survey and to make a simple prognosis on the direction and intensity of their further dissemination outside of Fončorda , into the open country or other parts of the town of Banská Bystrica. The aim of the work is, in addition to the actual prognosis of the development of the invasive species situation in our area of interest, to propose measures to prevent or control the spread of these species into the open country where their increased numbers could cause further problems in the field of species composition disruption in ecosystems, of the original species and the like. According to Decree no. 24/2003 Coll. there are 4 species of species considered as invasive in our territory. These species include Ailanthus altissima (Mill.), Swingle, Amorpha fruticosa L., Negundo aceroides Moench. and Lycium barbarum L. The species Swida alba L. is not classified according to the Decree among the invasive species, but in our territory it formed dense stands and very aggressively spread to the surrounding environment, behaved expansively and therefore we also evaluated it for the invasive species.
