Current globalized business environment is characterized by high competitive pressure. To be successful, companies have to adapt to their environment and especially to needs of customers quickly and flexibly. If the enterprise wants to keep its competitive position and customers, it is very important to addict innovative activities, even when it is no reasons for it. Cognate approach must be applied by star-up businesses in the phase of establishment on the market and gaining potential customers, therefore the realization of innovative activities is more important for them. The main aim of diploma thesis is processing of innovation project for purchasing and installing a laser machine for developing an start-up business. Acquired theoretic knowledge processed in theoretic part are applied by processing of innovation project for purchasing and installing of laser engraving machine. The innovation project describes the rise of start-up and the complete progress of purchasing laser machine for cutting and engraving of variable materials trough the phase approach of innovation products from the definition to the finalization of the project. The right machine selection from the convenient supplier based on comparison according to chosen criteria is the key activity within the decomposition. In epilogue of diploma thesis we have analyzed the question of quality after the project implementation.
