Emília Balážová, PhD. Zvolen: TUZVO, 2018. 64 p.The subject of this Diploma Thesis is to describe and subsequently to analyze the financial management and economy of the selected city. The thesis contains a theoretical part consisting of three chapters, and a practical part, in which the income analysis of the selected city is carried out. The first chapter deals with a description of fiscal policy and decentralization, which has influenced the management and money management of municipalities. The second chapter deals with characteristics of the state budget as the highest budget in terms of the level of public budgets. The state budget is the most important financial instrument that represents the balance of states expenditures and revenues. We classify the states revenues as tax, non-tax revenues, grants and transfers. The state expenditure is broken down into current and capital expenditure. This chapter also describes the municipality, its functions, its organs and the ways of its financing. The third chapter discusses the budget revenues of the municipality, which from the internal point of view are divided into current, capital incomes and financial transactions. The individual basic revenues are further broken down and separately characterized. The fourth chapter analyzes revenues of Krupina city, first based on the basic division of the city´s income, folowed by the income analysis of the city on the basis of further division into tax, non-tax revenues, and grants and transfers. According to the analyzed income-related economic indicators we were able to state, at what level of self-sufficiency the city is located.
