Game affects forest stands in such way that it causes damage by getting food. Young forest stands are the most threatened. These are easily accessible for game and they form the basis of future forest stands. The most extensive damage in stands is caused by deer. There are many forest protection methods to prevent damage caused by the game. Diploma thesis assesses the effectiveness of repellents Cervacol Extra, which is used on protection young forest stands before feeding on shoots or bunds by game on model area of forest in the land management Uniforst, spol. s. r. o. Sielnica. Analyses of efficiency consist in comparing damage on research plots with application repellent and control research plots on which has not been used protection. By comparing the results from research plots and by statistical analysis of the differences between plots with application repellent and control plots, has been found effectiveness of repellent Cervacol Extra. We have achieved smaller damage by browsing game on research plots with application of repellent than on control plots. By using the repellent Cervacol Extra, as one of the possibilities of protecting young forest stands from game damage, we have achieved positive effect.
