Diploma thesis deals with misleading practice used within product packaging. The main goal is to research the consumer's perception of misleading packages in Slovakia based on questionnaire research. In the theoretical part, we have defined product package and package conception, but also misleading packaging. It points out the relation between packages and environment. It presents examples of misleading products identified by consumers based on analysis of consumers portals. It identifies particular products which packages are perceived by consumers as abnormal or misleading while comparing their quantity, quality or provided information. Findings and results of the analysis could be used as a recommendation regarding package production and in the meantime following certain ethical rules to avoid misleading of consumers.
