This diploma thesis is focused on design of the wood chipless cutting head. In the process of design, it was necessary to get acquainted with the wood felling as such and to obtain knowledge about wood and cutting tool. It was necessary to obtain theoretical knowledge in the field of wood felling without the formation of wood chips and the knowledge about wood and cutting tools. Equally important was theoretical knowledge in the area of elasticity and strength. That were used to calculate the shear stress, weld strength and design of the screws. It was also necessary to find out what harvester heads are offered by different manufacturers to get acquainted with the market. The work has been processed as readily as possible to understand the issue. The result of the diploma thesis is a functional model of the wood cutting head created in the 3D modeling program and drawing documentation for the given cutting head.
