Bubelíny, Matúš: Assessment of the influence of the age of oak wood on its initiation. [Master's Thesis]. Technical university of Zvolen. Faculty of Wood Technology; Department of Fire Protection. Supervisor: Ing. Martin Zachar, PhD. DF TU, 2015. 83 pages. The diploma thesis deals with the comparison of the induction period and the activation energy of oak wood. Based on the comparison of the activation energy results in the flame ignition temperatures and spontaneous ignition temperatures between the samples prepared from oakwood with the age of 0.10, 40.80 and 120 years, the technique of thermal analysis also describes the method of calculating the activation energy. In the test to determine the required flash point and ignition of the individual samples, it proceeds in accordance with the valid technical standard STN ISO 871. The final values of the individual tests are obtained by measuring, heating the samples in the heating chamber of the hot air furnace at different temperatures, evaluated and then compared. Keywords: Oak winter.
