The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate investments in small and medium enterprises. In the introduction, the diploma thesis deals with the legal background, the functioning and the distribution of small and medium-sized enterprises in Slovakia. The methodology of the diploma thesis uses static, dynamic and complementary evaluation methods. The practical part is focused on the evaluation of the effectiveness of the investments in the selected region, namely Horehroní. In the field of agriculture in the selected area, namely in the field of bee breeding. On the basis of the analyzes we developed, we formulated conclusions and recommendations that ensure the development and proper functioning of the business.
