The aim of this Diploma thesis is to analyze the distribution, height growth and mortality of natural regeneration of oak-beech stands unfinished of small-scale shelterwood tails (LC Myjava- I, part 303). On 45 research plots that were area of 1 m2 was determined the degree of shading. The number, type of wood and damage of wild animal was determined and the height was measured on all individuals of natural regeneration. On the two dominant seedlings of the most distorted wood, which is the European beech, their height, height increase over the last three years, and the thickness of the root cervix were determined by means of a sliding scale and a ruler. Next the height of humus was determined. The percentage of vegetation cover was also determined to the nearest 10 % and its species composition in regular rasters on 16 subflores measuring 25 x 25 cm within 45 research areas. At the center of every area three hemispherical photos 1 m above the ground were made. On evaluate the dependencies obtained from the examined data (light radiation, vegetation cover, the number of natural regeneration, growth of individuals of natural regeneration and vegetation cover) were used methods of regression and correlation analysis. It was found from the results that the degree of shading was statistically significantly influenced (p 0,05) by all measured values ( the share of gaps in the crown, direct, diffusion and total radiation). Next it was found that none component of the measured values of radiation and share of gaps in the crown affected the statistically significant the number of individuals of natural regeneration (p > 0,05). Not even the vegetation cover significantly affects the rate of natural regeneration (p > 0,05). Neither, no significant dependence was found between the growth characteristics of individuals of natural regeneration and the components of radiation and the share of gaps in the crown (p > 0,05).The result shows that height growth and increase of natural regeneration are not influenced by light condition, but they are endangered by the reproduction of wild animals, which causes a decrease in growth and the increase. A statistically significant correlation was confirmed between the vegetation cover, the radiation values and the share of gaps in the crown (p˂ 0,001). It means that with the increasing intensity of the measured values will be increased the vegetation cover. Based on this knowledge we have found in this thesis it is recommended in the oak-beech stands to implement measures against wild animals.
