„Tiny houses” based on various materials are in the centre of interest especially in foreign countries. Room disposition is suitable for quality living and is preferred by young families with small children due to economic and ecological reasons. Wood and materials based on wood cannot be replaced in these structures. They meet ecological requirements and form healthy and cosy environment. Decision on tiny houses is affected also by the chance to built them without planning permission. The issue of tiny houses id described in the thesis in more detail in terms of philosophy for living, history as well as modern micro houses. Some construction systems for tiny houses, e.g. panel construction, CLT panel, cardboard system, pallet system are mentioned in the thesis as well. Joining details and technical equipment are described in this part, too. General view of the tine houses is associated with the own alternative designs taking into account the number of people allocating the house. New materials and requirements on this way of living change the perception of the living style. The future of micro houses can be seen in houses built on the planet earth or in the space (in Slovakia, Hong Kong, Antarctica or on the planet Mars).
