This bachelor thesis deals with the statistical processing of the selected economic indicators. The aim of the submitted bachelor thesis has been to evaluate the selected economic indicators by means of the descriptive statistics in the wood-processing industry in Slovakia. The first part of the thesis is focused on the characterization of economics, microeconomics and macroeconomics. It is also aimed at the definition of the selected economic indicators as well as the explication of the current state of the wood-processing industry in Slovakia. The second part presents the characteristics of the used statistical processing methods. This bachelor thesis defines the basic statistical concepts such as the mean value, the quantiles, the standard deviation, etc. The third part consists of the statistical processing of the selected indicators. The result of the thesis is the evaluation of the selected economic indicators by means of the basic descriptive characteristics of time series.
