The Bachelor´s Thesis deals with the issue of robotics and manipulation technology. In the first part it briefly divides this equipment into the groups according to the development or determination. The main task is to construct a model of a robotic arm and writing a functional code to control the robotic arm by means of operator´s hand movements. The model of the arm is made of LEGO building set Mindstorms EV3, the operator´s hand movement is taken by camera Pixy (CMUcam5). In the control unit the information taken by the camera is changed into the commands to the motors of the arm. The Thesis is chronologically divided into the parts, which describe the construction of the arm, approach to the control unit by means of PC and writing the code itself. In our case, for programming we use the programming language Python within the framework system ev3dev.
