Scope of work: 51 p.The bachelor thesis is a theoretical study focuses on industrial gases in terms of their hazards. The main goal is achieved by dividing the content of the thesis into partial goals. First of all, we characterize the gaseous state and focus on gases as dangerous substances. Consequently, there are summarized the basic requirements forsafe handling, storage and transportation of hazardous gaseous substances. In conclusion, we choose four industrial gases - hydrogen, oxygen, acetylene and chlorine, which we characterize in terms of their hazards. During their analysing, we focus on their physical and chemical properties, the classification of hazards they represent, their occurrence and use, toxicological information and important safety measures.
