The bachelor thesis focuses on the quality of glued joints in plywood glued with foamed PVAC adhesive in D3 waterproofing class. The joint quality measured as shear strength had to meet the standard EN 314-2 for bonding class 1. The quality of bonded joint determines what plywood can be used for. The work was aimed to describe the process of gluing, joining and testing of the plywood. We used a method of foaming the PVAC dispersion by air. The shear strength of the bonded joint was determined according to the EN 314-1. The aim was to find the optimal amount of spread of foamed PVAC dispersion. The maximum bond strength in the bonding grade 1 test was achieved by the adhesive spread of 160 g/m2.
