Rastislav Igaz, PhD., Zvolen 2018Bachelor's Thesis summarizes the tank-syringe which are mostly used in the Fire and Rescue Service of Slovak Republic. Tank automotive syringes are used in fires where a large amount of water is needed. The bachelor thesis describes the basic principles of burning and extinguishing. Also detailed fire extinguishing substances and their features are described. If the fire extinguisher is properly used, it is possible to effectively extinguish a fire. Moreover there are decribed the possibilities of transporting water to fire from outlying sources which is used in cases where a natural or artificial water source is not near the fire. There is also statistic of the use of tank-syringe trucks at the Detva fire department.
