In this bachelor thesis we have been dealing with support for small and medium-sized enterprises in Slovak Republic. The purpose of the bachelor thesis was to propose specific assistance programs, which could be used for support of business based on financial analysis in a selected business entity belonging to the category of small and medium-sized enterprises. The first chapter provides a detailed overview of theoretical knowledge about solved this issue. The purpose was identified the position of small and medium-sized enterprises in Slovakia as well as their historical development and current situation. We focused mainly on the support programs of Slovakia and the European Union for small and medium-sized enterprises. We subsequently characterized our company. In the practical part we present the calculations of selected indicators of financial analysis. In the end, we provide interpretation of the results achieved and recommended solutions for the monitored enterprise.
