Bachelor thesis analyzes the current state of the solution of energy-saving log buildings and defines the basic concepts used in their design and processing. The possibilities of using wood as a building material in combination with natural heat insulating materials are described to achieve an energy-saving construction. The thesis describes the procedure of design of wooden log construction in the AutoCAD 2017 graphic design program with the design of the fragments of the envelope shell and their subsequent assessment of thermal and technical properties in the calculation program ISOVER Fragment 5.0 according to STN 73 0540 in terms of heat transfer and condensation. The basis of the practical part is the construction of a double-storey, energy-saving log in the documentation corresponding to the scope of the building permit.
