The prognosis of supply of roundwood for wood processing industry in Slovakia was a main objective of dissertation thesis. Results of prognosis were comparing with technological equipment of companies of wood processing industry in Slovakia. Results also answer question how the technological equipment of companies of wood processing industry is prepared to potential change of supply of wood. Prognoses of supply of wood were made for the year 2025.Dissertation thesis was connecting a several scientific departments. This issue was very complex because forecasting or prognosis of supply wood depended on a variety of specific factors. Thesis was compiling from synthesis of information of economics, statistics, mathematics, forest economics and technology of wood processing. Combine of several scientific departments was a great impact of structure of individual parts of thesis. Theoretical part of thesis was divided into three main parts. First part was describing a technology of wood processing, while the second part was focused on economy phenomenon of supply and forest economy. Last theoretical part of thesis was oriented on modelling of wood market.Models of supply were a basis for elaboration of prognosis of supply of wood. Dissertation thesis was oriented to a four basis assortments of roundwood. There were a coniferous and nonconiferous logs, pulpwood, fuelwood, and energy wood. Econometrics approach of modelling was used to creations models of supply of wood for wood processing industry in Slovakia. Quantified and statistical and economy certificated models were used as prognosis application.Results of dissertation thesis were shown a development of supply of several basis assortment of roundwood in Slovakia for the year 2025. The results were pointed out decrease of supply of coniferous logs and increase of nonconiferous logs. We assumed that development of supply of wood wasn't doing significant impact into companies of wood processing industry in Slovakia to the year 2025. Assumed trend of development of supply of wood will very important. We are assume, that long term development of supply will main reason of change of technological equipment of companies in wood processing industry in Slovakia.
