HOMZA, Nikolas: The Economic Analysis of the Project of Beekeeping in the Region Zemplin: Bachelor thesis; The Technical Univerzity in Zvolen; Study programme: Applied Zoology and Wildlife Management; Department of Forest Economics and Management; Supervisor: prof. Ing. Ján Holécy, CSc.; Zvolen, 2018; 57 pages. The content of my bachelor thesis is the project proposal and its beekeeping issues in the Stropkov region for the possibility of sustainable business in the field of beekeeping, where we respect natural and economical conditions in this region as well as the principles of the proper beekeeping for the purposes of the project. In the project I have described a valuation of expected inputs and outputs that serves as a basis for calculation of expected cash flow in particular years of project duration. In the first part of this thesis we will become acquainted with natural and climatic conditions, significant wood species and herbs for beekeeping in the Stropkov region. I will mention significant agricultural crops which are grown in the region and some interesting facts about the beekeeping in the region. In the second part of the thesis we will become acquainted with the principles of the proper beekeeping and I will mention a beekeeping year, how to intervene against pests and their monitoring as well as veterinary care of honey bees in that region. The main part of this thesis contains project description which is based on specification of necessary physical inputs and expected project outputs under conditions of selected area where costing unit will be one bee colony. To ensure operation of the project and avoid being lossy, we will also learn about the minimum count of bee colonies and minimum project duration. The valuation of expected inputs and outputs in the market prices is the basis for calculation of expected cash flow in particular years of project duration. Profitability of considered breeding will be evaluated through indicators ČSH, VMV a DDS of the project under the given conditions.
