Mária Vlčková, PhD. 2018Bachelor Thesis: Forest Action in Flood Protection.In the present bachelor thesis we deal with forestry measures in flood protection, describe the reasons and causes of the floods themselves and the mechanisms of floods. We focus on the winter, spring floods resulting from the melting of snow, summer floods resulting from torrential rain. We describe the forest hydrological cycle, retention, infiltration, runoff and water flow in the forest, namely, we characterize the particular types of forests in the forests from the point of view of flood protection.
