The aim of this bachelor thesis was to provide a comprehensive, synthesizing view of the occurrence and development of subcortical insects in spruce forests damaged by wind calamity at LS Hronec, OZ Čierny Balog. It deals with bionomy and ecology of subcortical insects, defines it as part of spruce stands and describes methods of protection and defense. In the empirical part, the activation of spruce lizard and lycragraph on LS Hronec, OZ Čierny Balog is evaluated on 6 model surfaces based on traps in pheromone traps. The spruce lizard was confirmed as dominant. In order to stabilize the health status of spruce stands at LS Hronec, OZ Čierny Balog, measures were proposed to eliminate lycopersy in the monitored area.
