The Diploma thesis deals with the influence of anthropometric parameters, ergonomic or other requirements for functional dimensions of residential furniture intended for the adult population. The thesis has theoretical character and is based on the knowledge given above all in standards and other information sources. It is methodically divided into three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the characterization and selection of the most important and most frequently occurring furniture objects of the residential environment, the characteristics and the distribution of the functional dimensions of the furniture, the definition of anthropometric parameters and the ergonomic requirements in relation to the furniture. The second chapter defines the objectives and methodology of the work. The third, final chapter, brings out the results where it articulates relations between the different areas as described in the literature.
