The thesis is focused on studying the process of burning pine wood loaded with radiation source in the radial and axial direction. The aim of the diploma thesis is the analysis of fire-technical properties of pine wood in the dependence of heat transfer direction and thermal conductivity in this direction.. In the theoretical part, we have approached the issue for a correct understanding of burning processes, factors influencing the burning and properties of studied wood. In the Experimental Section, we compared the conductivity and its influence on the properties in the burning process on axial and radial samples. In the burning process, we compared the following properties: Initiation Temperature, Ignition Temperature, Carbon Time, Carbon Percentage, Coal Speed, Weight Loss. The results measured in the experiment are statistically processed and evaluated in tables and graphs using Statistica 12.
