The Diploma thesis is intended to propose to design and fabricate a lightweight construction of the material to be tested and also experimentally detect its selected physical and mechanical properties. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with knowledge and the concepts of materials used in the production of furniture. In the practical part of the diploma thesis are characterized materials used for the process of manufacturing of prefabricated slabs, technological processes for the production of light and fully plywood material and also is it defined methodology for experimental detection of physical - mechanical properties. The evaluation of the diploma thesis contains a summary of the results we have found, confirming the design of the structure of required properties. It then compares the properties of the proposed lightweight plates with ease and characterizes the effect of the relief on the selected mechanical features.
