The aim of this thesis was phytosociological research of grazing forests on localities nearZvolen and interpretation of results. Except the known locality Gavurky which is maintainedby cutting and grazing, there were located another two localities near village Kozelník andOčová on which are grazing forests neglected. On localities were made 11 relevés. Each locality had unique species composition. The speciesrichness was much greater on maintained are of Gavurky than on other localities. Thephytosociological data were processed into classification of Twinspan software and ordinationDCA of software CANOCO. These analyses showed that on localities occurred groups ofspecies typical for individual localities but also common for all of them. According theordination was the most common species for all localities Poa nemoralis, besides that also Lotuscorniculatus and Fragaria vesca. Identified species belongs to communities of meadows andpastures and were classified as associations Arrhenatherion elatioris and Cynosurion cristati. There were no forest species except Veronica chamaedrys, Poa nemoralis and Fragaria vesca, which can occur in forests but also woodless areas. These species could be typical for grazingforests. The results are suggesting that communities on grazing forests has character ofmeadows and pastures.
