The Master Thesis is dealing with introduction of innovative materials and technologies from the aspect of energy consumption and environmental protection during the reconstruction of a family house. However, these materials and technologies not only save energy for heating like conventional thermal contact system, but they also deal with issues such as lifetime of a building, hygienic risks and the moisture content reduce or water removal. In the introduction part are in general described different reasons for saving energy and are defined a standard building and an energy saving building. The first part of the work deals with the current state of buildings in Slovakia and their possible potential for saving energy. After that follows the division of buildings according to legislation and the clarification of the term energy certificate of buildings. In addition there are also defined a passive house, technical procedures for achieving the energy efficiency of buildings, technical reasons for thermal insulation, its methods and materials used. By thermal insulation is the attention paid to those factors which are important in assessing the quality of the thermal insulation, especially with the moisture content, the key factor of this issue. In the practical part is introduced a proposal for reconstruction of a family house in Sliač. Based on the obtained theoretical information and evaluations of this building, the best and the most energy efficient solutions are proposed in order to reduce its energy intensity of the building and improve conditions for healthy living.
