This thesis deals with the evaluation of the surface qualities of the thermic adjusted beech wood after 30, 90 and 180 days of weather aging. The thermic adjustment of beech wood differed by temperature (150 °C, 180 °C) and time (1 h, 3h, 5h) of the thermic adjustment. During the aging weather, selected roughness characteristics (Ra, Rz, Rt, Rq, Rp, Rv, Rsm), color (CIE L * and * b *) and crack formation were measured. The impact of aging, wood fiber and wood treatment on surface roughness was monitored. The color was evaluated on behalf of the calculated color aberrance ΔE, the rips were determined by their amount. The roughness of the surface of the heat treatment was greater in the transverse direction than in the longitudinal and during the aging weather, the roughness increased considerably. The thermo wood during the weather aging faded to gray. More rips appeared during weather aging on the thermic adjusted wood than on the non-adjusted beech wood.
