The subject of the study was the development of prices of selected assortments of coniferous wood and the development of the wood market in Slovakia. This work deals with the development of raw wood prices, namely spruce, spruce fir, pine and larch trees for the period 2001-2017. The work consists of six main parts. The first chapter deals with the introduction to this issue and the factors affecting the price of assortments. The second chapter discusses the aim of this work. Subsequently, the methodology of the work and the procedures for the results are described. At the core of the work we will further clarify the distribution of wood signs as well as the legislative environment of Slovakia within the qualitative classes. The final part of the thesis contains a comparison of the prices of selected assortments of coniferous wood in Slovakia for the period 2001-2017 and the possibilities of using the results of this work.
