A business described as green is not related only to colour, but especially to a permanently sustainable (ecological) development. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to identify the current condition of green business in Slovakia and to suggest proceeding to its encouragement. A more detailed analysis of the green business is inaugurated in the theoretical part of work, as well as the instruments used for metering and accomplishing permanently sustainable progress, which are closely related to the analysed issue. The results were obtained through an empirical research, which was focused on gaining information about condition of the green business in Slovakia. The achieved results were evaluated by descriptive method – by tables and graphs. The achieved results provide the information about the current condition in Slovakia. At the same time, measures have been proposed to help make green businesses more efficient in Slovakia.
