The bachelor thesis provides an overview of methods in the field of fire monitoring. More specifically, it focuses on the analysis of fire detection by means of a video camera, specifying mainly the principles of video-detection of fire, methods of digital image analysis used and examples of the use of videodetection in practice. The final part of the bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of the smoke and flame detection system, namely the SigniFire system. It summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of using classical fire detection and fire detection systems (EPS) fire detectors and new modern video detecting systems.
