Diploma thesis deals with cultural landscape evaluation in the urban environment of selected model territory with a special focus on management measures and protection of both natural and cultural values.The introductory part of the thesis presents theoretical and methodological bakground consisting of the relevant terminological review. The next part brings a decription of a city of Michalovce (physical and socio-economical conditions) together with a detailed analysis of landscape areas of a unique valuable natural and cultural values.The application part deals primarily with a part of Michalovce called Hrádok in order to present an example of identification of both natural and cultural landscape values as well as proposals for an appropriate management measures for this location. The proposed measures are directed to a rational utilisation of the teritory´s natural and cultural heritage.
