This bachelor thesis deals with the modeling of the river Rimavica, after the village Utekáč. For almost all of the territory, we have problems with the floods after strong rain, we decided to model it in this territory to aim materials that can be used for further work. The main aim of the work was to learn the basic concept of this issue, and detailed factors influencing the various precipitation in the selected river basin. We modeled using the SWAT model where tha main outcomes of hydrological cycle simulation were maps of flow velocities in the flow channel, water drainage from each sub-sueface area, and amount of fallen rainfall model precipitations retained in the soil for for a variety of model-driven precipitation. Significantly higher flow rates can be observed at a 100 mm precipitation compared of the 60 and 40 mm precipitation, which did not differ significantly. Modeling of such processes is important for flood prevention, which contributes to reducing the investment needed to effectively combat floods or erosion processes.
