My work is focused on image capturing an object using a line CCD camera. The goal of my work is to image capture the pattern and perform edge detection using the edge detectors Canny and Sobel. The work is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the function and the theory of the individual parts of the measuring scheme, in this part the function of each part of the scheme is explained in detail. The second part explains the principles of edge detection, it explains what a digital image is, RGB model, what is an edge and how to use edge detection operators, as well as specific operators Sobel and Canny. The third part of the work is CCD camera measurement. In this section we can see the schematic of the connection for our measurement, this part also describes image processing needed to obtain the correct dimensions of the pattern.
