The purpose of this bachelor work is was assessment of the facts of the wooden structures in the church of St. Nicholas in Poruba. The work is divided into three thematic parts. In the first it deals with protection, reconstruction, repairs of wood and wooden structures, as well as the influence of moisture on wooden constructions. The second part is focused on the church of St. Nicholas in which his history, main elements of the church, and general overhaul are approached. In the third part, a factual survey of the wooden Renaissance ceiling, truss structure and bell stool was carried out. The most numerous faults found in wooden constructions were common furniture beetle, house borer and brown rot.
