The presented bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the quality of the surface of furniture doors from the company Svet dvierok. Evaluating following physical and mechanical properties of the surface: resistance to impact deformation, resistance to abrasion, hardness, thickness. The chemical resistance of the surface is also involved. The above mentioned properties are evaluated on the following types of MDF furniture doors: PVC foil (glossy and matt), acrylic, PUR pigment coating.Based on the results of resistance to impact and abrasion, all dry surfaces with small distances has good resistance and the PUR finishing has the worst. In the hardness of the surface, the best was PVC matte foil, but it has to be said that the acrylic surface has clearly reached the best hardness among the glossy finishes. For cold-liquids resistance, only PVC glosy foil was slightly damaged.Keywords: Surface, Doors, MDF, PVC, PUR, Acrylics, Tests of surface properties
