The final thesis deals with ethical evaluation of companies. In the current social and economic situation, this is a topical issue, because the processes of globalization increase the interconnectedness of individual regions of the world and the impact of economic activities on other subsystems of society and on the life of man as a whole. Work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with the definition of ethics and morality, the division of ethics into philosophical and applied as well as the question of the relationship of economy and morality / ethics. In the second chapter, the author focuses on the subject and functions of business ethics. In an effort to show its relevance and relevance to business practice, the company continues to address selected ethical business issues present in the Slovak business environment. In the third part of the chapter it gives a typology of business subjects according to their ethical level. The third chapter deals with the Code of Ethics, which is considered to be the most widespread form of business ethics institutionalization. It lists various functions and types of ethical codes. The last part of the third chapter contains a comparative analysis of the ethical codes of the two selected companies in order to typify them and thus to estimate the ethical level of the selected companies. The aim of the thesis was to show the up-to-date and the necessity of applying the knowledge of entrepreneurial ethics to the business practice and to show that the Code of Ethics is not only a tool of corporate ethos management and ethical business development but can also serve as an instrument of its ethical evaluation.
