This final thesis describes the transport of natural gas through transit pipeline, its transport risks and precautionary measures, which are necessary for safe and trouble free transportation of natural gases. This final thesis next describes technological and desing solution of compressor stations for pipelines with focus on its explosion prevetion and fire protection against the occurence of undesirable events. The aim of this final thesis is the specific solution of fire protection of the building of selected compressor station KS02 Jabloňov nad Turňou according to current legislation. In the end of this final thesis are compared results of the solution of fire protection of compressor station and its contiguos technological devices with their issues of facts in the terms of protection against the initiation and spread of fire. The results, which this final thesis consists in its end, indicates of sufficient protection from the fire protection and explosion prevention point of view of KS02 Jabloňov nad Turňou compressor station.
