Introduction of my diploma thesis is focused on the characteristics of the area of interest which, in my case, formed two city parks in Zvolen - Štúrov park, park Ing. Š. Višňovského, and the Technical University campus. In the other part of the diploma thesis I focused on the characteristics of ornitocenoses in terms of social, age structure and basic attributes in the choice of bird communities. The concepts of abundance, density and dominance were also characterized, which were then compared in the diploma thesis results between the three areas of interest. The abundance data obtained from all three areas was then further tested using the Ravenfaction method, while the Shannon Index and the species richness index were used. At the end of the diploma thesis, the results were mentioned and compared with other parks and urban units from Europe.
