The main aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the current state of insurance stocks in the warehouse of office supplies and spare parts warehouse. In the theoretical part, we focused on basic knowledge of logistics, history of logistics, development, objectives, functions and subject of logistics. By logistics we have reached logistics and storage logistics. We have split inventories, inventories, inventory management, insurance inventories, methods of their calculation, and finally we have defined the most widely known analyzes, ABC analysis and XYZ analysis. In the practical part of the diploma thesis we introduced the company with which we cooperated. We have described the company's history, goals, subject and company vision. We introduced their production. It deals with the production of aluminum. In more detail, we analyzed the current state of insured inventory in two warehouses. In the warehouse of office supplies, where no insurance stocks had been set up and there were parts of the stock where the insurance stock had, but not satisfactory. From the information we have provided to us, based on the ABC analysis and the formula for the calculation of the insurance stock, we calculated the fair value of the insurance stock and compared it with the insurance stock set up by the company. Using the graphical method we noticed deviations into tables and graphs. In the warehouse of office supplies, we set up completely new insurance stocks as the company in this warehouse operated without insurance stocks. we analyzed the current state of insurance stocks in Slovalco, a.s. The aim is to bring an appropriate proposal for optimizing insurance stocks.
