Protected Areas are important for the care of natural and landscape heritage, conservationof species and also for the ecosystems. Tourism is often linked to these areas, which bringsa considerable amount of negative impacts on the countryside. Its uniqueness attracts a number of tourists as well as the area of interest - the protected landscape area of Poľana.Polana belongs to Europe among the largest extinct volcanoes and in our territoryrepresents the highest volcanic mountain range. The diploma thesis deals with assessmentsfor the state of the ground coverings on the tourist path in the western part of the CHKO -BR Poľana. The diploma thesis follows on from my bachelor work from 2016. The statusof the pavements was evaluated on the basis of a methodology that contains 4 categories.This methodology was used in older works - Zubáková (1998), Kalamárová (2010),Cimerman (2013). The evaluation was carried out on the Chata Horalka - Bujačie andHrochoť / Hrochotský mlyn - Skliarovo. Based on the field survey, the staturs results of thetourist trail foothpaht. The work includes walkway profiles and photo documentation. Wewill provide her with the results of the CHKO Poľana.
