The diploma thesis deals with invasive woods in selected urban areas of Zvolen and the influence of care for urban greenery on their occurrence and spreading in public greenery. The theoretical part is devoted to important concepts that are necessary for understanding the theme of invasive species and the clear characteristics of individual, selected invasive tree species. The results are summarized in tables for each selected city section separately. In the tables there is a recorded occurrence of both planted and spontaneously widespread individuals of invasive species. The occurrence of these individuals is also shown in the maps for the individual city sections that are in the annexes. Six species of invasive species were mapped: Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle, Amorpha fruticosa L., Lycium barbarum L., Negundo aceroides Moench, Rhus typhina L. and Robinia pseudoacacia L.. Of these 6 species, 4 species were found. The highest incidence of invasive trees was recorded in the central part of the city. At the end, the results were compared with the works dealing with invasive woods in the urbanized parts of other towns of Slovakia. But mainly with the works Selected invasive wood species in the central part of Zvolen (MODRANSKÝ, J., et al., 2002) and Problems of invasive species of wood in the city of Zvolen (MODRANSKÝ, J., et al., 2004). The comparison of the results revealed the impact of care on public greenery as well as the impact of changes in the city intravillan on the occurrence and spread of invasive species of wood.
