We have focused on the use of wood materials in the automotive industry. The object of the study of our work was to clarify the use of wood and wood materials in the given area and the reasons for its use. We analyze wood materials in the automotive industry nowadays. We have dealt with more in detail with sufficient protective substances and wood properties in this industry. The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the history and the beginning of the use of wood in the automotive industry. We characterize the mechanical and physical properties of wood, the influence of different negative effects on wood products and the importance of wood coatings in the next part . We deal with wood materials in the automotive industry at present, the vehicles dominated by wood materials in the final chapter and we also analyze the vehicles in Mercedes Benz company in more detail, which has had a considerable influence on the option of this selected theme.
