Large-dimensional furniture is characterized by sufficient internal dimensions derived from the user's needs. Contemporary furniture users are demanding that the furniture has a large storage space and provides easy access to stored things. Large-dimensional furniture needs to be fixed to the building, not only for a functional but also a safety aspect. Fixation of furniture does not rely only on the type of construction, but mainly on its weight, which is influenced by the material. When fixing it is necessary to take into account the safety of the furniture fittings and from this the functionality and the deformation of the elements unfolds.Permanent or temporary fixation is considered.The bachelor thesis focuses on present means of fixation of large-dimensional furniture on the wall and furniture in general.In the first part we dealt with general knowledge of furniture. Where we defined large-dimension furniture, auxiliary fixing fixtures and fixation of furniture to the building.In the next chapter, we discussed the fixation of furniture using fixation means.The third chapter is focused on the specification of fixing fixtures / fittings that are directly intended for fixing the furniture to the wall and ceiling.
