In this bachelor thesis, I write about watercourse bank erosions and methods of its quantification. In the introduction, you will read about the definition of erosion and its multiple classifications and divisions. We will then focus on scour in watercourse, the composition of watercourse banks and the movements caused by saltation. Further in the text, I will describe various options of erosion confinement by multiple methods of modifications and hardening of watercourse banks. To familiarize you with erosion processes, I will describe erosion models that are frequently used for this purpose. In the following part of this thesis, I will characterize the watercourses in my local environment, I will describe the flora and fauna, geology and pedology of the watercourse. I will also focus on hydrological and climatic aspects of the watercourse and based on the data I acquired, I will show you the calculated morphometric characteristics of the watercourse.
